My Name is Dan Wilson. I'm in the dark suit and Suki is behind me. I was born and raised in Huntington Beach. I enjoy many water related hobbies, surfing, fishing, sailing, boating and swimming just to name a few.
My 1st career started when I was in high school. I found my passion for the culinary arts and pursued that profession for over 25 years. Within that time, I have worked in some very interesting places. One being with the Four Seasons Hotel chain. I have also been head chef on a cruise ship that cruised the West coast, and then I was proud to serve our nation in the U.S. Coast Guard. While in the Coast Guard, I was stationed on the Polar Star, 1 of only 2 U.S. polar icebreakers (shown below). My culinary expertise was put to great use as I was the Captain's personal chef. I have the proud distinction of having traveled from North Pole to South Pole and everywhere in between and I have touched 6 of our 7 great continents. ( My wife has touched the only one I have not, Africa )
My 2nd career has now blossomed and I have been doing professional estate sales for some time with the help of Suki and our staff, Amy and Andrew. I am a Certified Antiques & Personal Property Appraiser and a Certified Gemologist through the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A.) and I am a member, and former board member, of Appraisers National Association (A.N.A.) and the G.I.A. Alumni Association
I work with Families, Executors, Lawyers, Trust Attorneys, Realtor's, Fiduciaries, Retirement Communities and everyone who is part of the estate planning process.
My #1, and most important team member, is Suki. Her credentials include, former Chairperson of Appraisers National Association (A.N.A.), Certified Antiques & Personal Property Appraiser, Certified Gemologist, Certified Fine Arts Appraiser, Certified Textiles Appraiser, Certified Toys & Collectibles Appraiser and soon to be Certified Rare Book Appraiser.
She was born in Iowa and raise in the Midwest. She pursued a career in entertainment while in Chicago. She moved to California back in 2000 and has pursued her passion in antiques and collectibles.
